May is National Bike Month and here in Massachusetts we’re doing our part to celebrate this great event with Bay State Bike Week, May 11th -17th, 2009. It’s your chance to join thousands of other bikers across the country by doing something for the environment and having a great time while you’re at it. It’s a win/win proposition.

Bay State Bike Week events will be taking place all across Massachusetts from May 11th to 17th. Make sure to check the Statewide Calendar of Events to find a fun event near you!


Bay State Bike Week features three key events right in Boston:

• 250,000 Mile Pledge- a pledge to bike during bike week
  
• MassCommuter Challenge- a corporate biking challenge
  
• Mayor Menino's Bike Week Festival, May 15th- a bike celebration in Downtown Boston with free breakfast featuring our official breakfast supplier, Boloco!
  

Bay State Bike Week is a collaboration of efforts by cycling enthusiasts across Massachusetts. There are events taking place throughout the state in conjunction with Bike Week, and we invite you to join in at an event in your area. If you don't see an event from your area on the Statewide Calendar, you are welcome to organize your own. If you know of an event that isn't listed, or have decided to organize your own, please tell us about it! We will list all bike events during the week of May 11th, just contact us (see "About Us") with the information about your event!
